Bryce Breaks the Budget!

Bryce was reviewing some financial papers at work and saw a recent total of $25,000 paid out by Lowes in workers compensation fees to different Doctors, hospitals and pharmacies. The wierd part is, it is entirely due to his accident at work and he still going to the Doctor regularly so the cost will keep going up!

Our First 3-D Movie

Last night we went to the movies and saw the 3-D movie Fly Me To The Moon. It was really fun. Kadence loved wearing the 3-D glasses which were surprising sturdy and not what we would remember from our childhood! Every once in a while Kadence would reach up to touch the flies as they flew out of the screen towards us. I give our night 2 thumbs up. Pixar still owes me 8 bucks and 2 hours of my life back for when I took her to see Wall-E so this helped make up for it!

Furniture is on the way!

Here is 1 piece of Kadence's new furniture that has been given to her by my boss. My boss customized this furniture for her daughter who is 10 and is ready for something new. She is a crafty lady! It is not something I would have picked myself but Kadence couldn't stop giggling when she saw this nightstand today because it has bunnies on it. She loves it so that is the most important thing. I will be waiting for the other pieces to be brought to work so I can get them home. Now I can match paint based on this (hopefully).

Murals

Here is a look at Kadence's room right now. Lots of little paint samples. I basically don't like any of the colors that I thought I would. The blue "face" may become the baby's room color this weekend if I get ambitious enough. Bryce has to work every day of this long weekend ): so I might see what I can tackle on my own. I had the ultrasound I had been waiting for yesterday and the Doc says the baby's size is normal and nothing to worry about. They worried me a little at my last appointment because they thought he was abnormally small but everything is right on target. 3lbs 3 oz is the estimate for now and my gestational diabetes is somewhat under control so no meds for now.

AGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH! I Need Help!

Thanks to Hurricane Fay I got an unexpected day off this week. While my kid took a 4 hour nap to make up for all the partying she and her cousins did for a week I watched the first "baby" show that I have watched this whole pregnancy. It scared the crap out of me because every pregnant chick on there was ready with a nursery and everything for their kid and they were only 5 months along. Here I am over 7 months and I have not given more than a brief thought to what I need to do. I am really starting to freak. I wish I had money to have someone design things for me because I am terrible at this kind of stuff. It gives me butterflies just to think about color schemes, furniture, storage and the complete lack of space that I have to deal with. I bought Kadence new bedding and now have to pick paint and everything else to match. My boss promised me kid furniture to look at and see if I wanted it 3 months ago and I am still waiting to see it. (She said this week for sure but I have heard that before) I keep thinking if this kid comes early he will be sleeping in a pink and purple girls room. When Bryce is home tomorrow I need to make a babies r us run and look at car seats and strollers and stuff. If anyone has any bright ideas, book suggestions or websites that could help me on the decorating front let me know.

A Surprise Visit

We were having a little going away party for Ryan Hook the other day when we got a call from cousin Todd who happened to be a few minutes away so he popped by and enjoyed the festivities with us. That is his friend Amy that he was visiting.
