Etsy

Thanks to Steph and Kara who have supported my etsy shop! Well, actually the purchaser from Mt. Pleasant was listed as Robert MacDonald but I am gonna guess Steph had something to do with it!) I hope you enjoy your charms! I better get to work on more-I had a friend call asking about Christmas charms the other day! It is fun to have something to do when the kids go to sleep!

Walking

This weekend Charlie has really gotten his balance and is doing great with his walking! I had to post this-I just can't resist those wobbly little steps and watching him clap for himself!

Selective Hearing?

Bryce(to Kadence): Kadence, Do you want chocolate milk or white milk?

Kadence:Huh? What? (staring at the tv)

Bryce: Kadence, Do you want chocolate milk or white milk?

Kadence: What? What?(still staring)

Bryce: Kadence I'll give you a dollar if you tell me what I just said

Kadence: (attentive) You said do I want chocolate milk or white milk, can I have my dollar now?

Charlie gets exactly what he wants by yelling and pointing! In this case a windpipe-sized magnet was on his wish list.

Random Nelson Happenings...

I usually cut corn off the cob for Charlie to eat but last night I realized he has no problem eating it on his own. I have been making corn on the cob alot lately because Kadence loves it. Whenever we have it with dinner it is like watching the scene from the movie "What About Bob" when Bob is eating dinner and can't stop saying mmmm, yumm and other such phrases of food lovin. Kadence can't contain her love for corn-it is pretty hilarious.(If you have not seen that movie, you have been missing out)
The kids rode the jeep down the alley through all the big mud puddles last night!"

Here is the crochet toy that Danielle inspired me to make. The pattern said that it takes 2 hours to make but it took me 2 weeks on and off to make it because I literally didn't know how to do a stitch or anything. Thank goodness for youtube videos. Anyways, the kids hate this thing and refuse to touch it. Kadence tells me she doesn't like it and doesn't want it and if you hand it to Charlie he looks at it and chucks it across the room. It was from a pattern for "Rudy the Rectangle" but I call him my ugly little alien stepchild-he even has a little dangling umbilical cord on his right side-I am pretty sure that was not part of the pattern:( (Yes, his eyes are supposed to be different sizes) Anyways if someone would like to use him for scrubbing tire rims, sopping up greasy messes or any other task where you would use an old rag that is gross and everyone hates-he is available.

Gymnastics

Kadence's gymnastics class had a little presentation for parents on Saturday that we went to. She did such an amazing job and we were so proud of her. She definately showed some natural skills there and in some cases was the only kid in class that could do some of the things the teacher asked. How did the teacher reward all of the kids for their healthy and active morning?-doughnut holes of course!

Kadence pulled this move at Chick-fil-A when I took her out to lunch Friday and I had no idea that she learned it in class!

Labor Day Weekend

We drove to Daytona Beach to visit our friends Bernie and Robin who have moved back to Florida. Now if only we could convince them to move back to St. Pete (hint, hint) After fun at the beach and hotel pool Charlie had to recharge his batteries!

I love this picture!

Kadence, Morgan and Taylor jumping on the bed! Kadence and Morgan look like sisters to me, but her parents wouldn't let us keep her.

Morgan and Robin(expecting a little sister next month!)

While we were getting ready for our trip to Daytona Monday, the house got quiet-too quiet, and this is what we found!

We got a visit from our friend's new baby Addison. This is only encouraging Kadence's immense desire for a baby sister and new baby brother(she has overly high expectations!) and Charlie has basically been too big to be considered a baby to Kadence anymore.

Tampa Aquarium

Thee kids put on their suits and cooled off at the splash park.
Charlie checked out the huge turtle.

Kadence loved these turtles because they were kissing!
