Random Nelson Happenings...

I usually cut corn off the cob for Charlie to eat but last night I realized he has no problem eating it on his own. I have been making corn on the cob alot lately because Kadence loves it. Whenever we have it with dinner it is like watching the scene from the movie "What About Bob" when Bob is eating dinner and can't stop saying mmmm, yumm and other such phrases of food lovin. Kadence can't contain her love for corn-it is pretty hilarious.(If you have not seen that movie, you have been missing out)
The kids rode the jeep down the alley through all the big mud puddles last night!"

Here is the crochet toy that Danielle inspired me to make. The pattern said that it takes 2 hours to make but it took me 2 weeks on and off to make it because I literally didn't know how to do a stitch or anything. Thank goodness for youtube videos. Anyways, the kids hate this thing and refuse to touch it. Kadence tells me she doesn't like it and doesn't want it and if you hand it to Charlie he looks at it and chucks it across the room. It was from a pattern for "Rudy the Rectangle" but I call him my ugly little alien stepchild-he even has a little dangling umbilical cord on his right side-I am pretty sure that was not part of the pattern:( (Yes, his eyes are supposed to be different sizes) Anyways if someone would like to use him for scrubbing tire rims, sopping up greasy messes or any other task where you would use an old rag that is gross and everyone hates-he is available.

Love the corn on the cob story. When I was pregnant with Jude, my only craving was corn on the cob. I ate it everyday during the summer. Towards the end of the summer and corn season, I was so nervous that I was not going to have any corn (it has to be off the cob) I bought about 30 ears of corn boiled them up cut off the cob and stuck them in ziplock bags put in freezer so I had corn all through my pregnancy. It was great. On a side note, I might have had 3 ears of corn this summer.

both of the boys love corn on the cob. I don't love their diapers the next day.

I am so impressed that you made that toy. Its so cute. Isn't just how it goes, you put all that work and love into that toy for the kids and they want nothing to do with it. I was cracking up reading your post.
