Kids say the Darndest Things!

Tuesday night conversation:
Susu: "Kadence please put these toys in your room"
Kadence: "No! I don't want to!"
Susu: "Bryce, does she talk to you this way or just me?"
(Imagine her turning towards me with her hands on her hips and showing some serious 3 year old attitude!)
Kadence: "Just you Mommy!"

I held back my laughter and anger at the same time! Bryce did not hold back any laughter.

The Big Girl Bed!

We are slowly starting to get Kadence ready to take over the guest room and give her room up to the "new guy". All that has been done so far are new sheets and quilt for her big girl bed. She loves it so far!

WII Have Arrived!

I decided very recently that I wouldn't mind getting a Wii and trying to make the most of it's fitness benefits if I could find one. I heard from several people that they had been looking for one for months with no luck, then lo and behold Target just happened to have 2 of them in the case so I bought one last week. The guy at Target said the Wii Fit is even harder to get and I happened to be in the right place at the right time for the Wii. I was told that 8:00am on Sundays is a very good time to check. Needless to say after a couple of stores, I stopped at the Walmart down the street and they happened to have gotten a shipment of 1 Wii Fit and I was lucky enough to have got it. Yes, it has happened, I was one of those dorks who woke up early just to get a chance to buy a video game system. The next logical step for me is to dress like Princess Leah and go to a Star Wars Convention. Here is a video of Kadence doing the Ski Jump!

The Moral of the Story is Don't Get Smashed by a Forklift

We have had a crazy week since we got back from vacation, Bryce was in the hospital for several days for a blood clot in his leg and is now home on bed rest. Kadence is being a great little nurse and preps him for the blood thinning shots I have to give him twice a day. She is dying to administer the shots herself. We are sending in her application to med school soon. To all you that have been thinking about him he is doing good and seeing the doc every other day until his shots are finished in a week. The wierd thing is he thinks the clot started when he was in Mt. Pleasant with J-Mac the paramedic since he was starting to feel short of breath and feverish that evening. I blame Jay!

Cabbage Patch Kadence

We received a letter from cousin Ann (daughter of "Larry")today with a picture included. It is a picture of a cabbage patch doll and it's birth certificate that she recently purchased named Kadence Serena. She said she picked it out before seeing the name because it was the cutest one. Now when Kadence asked how she was created we will show her the proof that she was born in a cabbage patch.

Kadence is 3 years old today! She has been dreaming about this birthday for a very long time so hopefully a party with worm cake, presents and lots of cousins will do the trick! Happy birthday to Henry Tait and George W. Bush too!
