Then he proceeded to hang out with married women for much of the night.

We saw Donovan for the first time in 15 years. We were surprised to know he is in the secret service and was on duty at the wedding.

The crew was reunited.

This weekend we are in Stuart Florida for Ryan and Ginger's wedding. Here are a few pics of our adventures. (The pics looked way better on my phone when I took them at midnight) Burt, Chris and our kids were heading over to meet us yesterday when the brakes on our car started acting up for them so they had to head home. We feel like total crap about that and hope they are enjoying some quality grandparent time and our kids haven't taped them up and busted out a 2 liter of Mountain Dew to chug. More pics to come!

In case you need a laugh!

This is what I currently think about when I need a good chuckle...
A few weeks ago Kadence went up to Grandpa Burt and said "Shake what your momma gave ya!" He just looked at me with a strange look, so I did a little slang translation and explained to him that Alvin and the chipmunks taught her that phrase. Thinking about Meema when you hear this also adds a little more to the situation I think. (oh, and for the record, he did not shake what his momma gave him)

We took the canoe out with Grandma Friday. Here are Kadence and Grandma taking care of the canoe on the boat lift.

Out in the flats checking out wildlife! We saw a manatee, some conchs, lots of jumping fish and some horseshoe crabs. It was a great trip, I even rowed most of the time so I guess that means my finger is healing up. (I looked like Michael Jackson with my white hospital glove on my right hand, it was an attractive look for me. I was specifically told by the ER doctor not to submerge my finger in the gulf so I had to be careful!)

We made a quick trip over to Epcot Thursday with Grandma Chris.

Ouch!

You are looking at my homecare instructions from the ER because I had an accident using my mandolin slicer today and took off a little more than just the slices of zucchini. It says "Instructions for amputated fingertip" According to the doctor I will probably not end up as a hand model but it shouldn't look too bad. Lets hope he is right.

Burt and Chris got a frantic call from me begging them to come deal with my kids for a couple days since I can't get it wet and it hurts. They were here in no time. Thanks guys!

Summer is here!

Grandma Chris and Kadence have been spending lots of time in our above ground pool.


Our other above ground pool has a water slide.

The MacDonalds come to town

The MacDonalds paid us a visit last week. We went to the beach and then came home and grilled ridiculous amounts of food. After a long day of playing, Kadence actually fell asleep in the tub.


The amount of fun Charlie had was directly proportional to the amount of dirt on his feet at the end of the day!

Max drove Kadence and Micah around the yard.

Happy Birthday Aunt CC! Have a great day! Kadence is also celebrating her birthday at school because she has a summer birthday and today is the alternate day. She picked goldfish and watermelon as her birthday treats instead of cookies! Strange child.
