I'm a statistic

Well I am officially one of the millions of unemployed. Yesterday was my last day of work. It was very sad and I will miss my job and my students and even most of their parents. I am not a very motivated person but while I am home I hope to clean up the garden, the house and have fun with the kiddos on a daily basis. My dad is visiting in a couple of days and we have lots of trips planned so hopefully I am kept well occupied for the summer! At the going away party at school yesterday every employee was presented with a dozen roses each and what I am guessing is about $200 worth of gifts. No wonder they couldn't afford to keep the school in business!

A Night Out

Ginger, Ryan and the girls are in town so we all went out for dinner and ice cream. At dinner last night, the kids congregated to Bryce and Ryan and they ended up in charge of them during dinner-it was great! Ginger also took Charlie off my hands for a bit! The girls were out of control excited-they have missed each other so much!

Paranoia

Everytime we come home Kadence rushes over to her fish bowl and shouts "Come look! He's not dead!" I think 2 fish deaths in 2 months have scarred her.

When Life Gives You Lemons...

Here is Charlie chowing on a lemon at Crabby Bills last night. If you listen closely you can hear Bryce and Ryan talking about how this reminds them of Jason MacDonald!

Sheer Terror

Now that Charlie's on the move he kept annoying his big sister by destroying her tea party that she set up so I went and got Twist and Shout Elmo to show him and I figured he would love it-WRONG! He stared at it and then went ballistic. After he calmed down, Kadence and I thought it needed to be videoed so he could enjoy it someday. I know it was evil for us to make him relive the terror but to me it was still worth it. I hope Amya does not go to Connecticut toting an Elmo doll!

The "Inch"

Charlie has developed his own way of getting around!

Monkey See Monkey Do

At the end Kadence says "Zip it up!"-he would repeat that if he could!

My Mother's Day

Kadence decorated this cake for me at the grocery store as my mother's day present. She was so proud of all the colors she added and kept asking me if she was "a good arter" (instead of artist). Charlie made a hand petal flower at school and the hand tulips behind his flower was made at school by Kadence. My present today was an afternoon of kid-free shopping and a gift card-even though I was away from them I couldn't help myself, the kids got presents from me and I got the new sneakers I desperately needed.

Kadence vs. Charlie

Here are the stats on Kadence vs. Charlie

Kadence
Birth 6lb11oz
3 month 12lb 2oz
6 month 15lb

Charlie
Birth 7lb 8oz
3 month 14lb 13oz
6 month 19lb 10oz

Bryce and I are amazed at the difference between these two. Kadence weighed 19lbs 9oz at her 18 month appointment! Charlie outgrew his carseat 2 months ago and has been wearing a size 4 diaper-Kadence wore a size 3 until she was potty trained and rode in an infant carrier for 18 months! Just for fun I sometimes ask Kadence to pick Charlie up and bring him to me and she just looks at me and laughs!

Yesterday Kadence shouted "What the H!@# is that?" (for no reason-she was not asking about anything but more just making a statement ) and when she got in trouble and I asked where she learned it she blamed Charlie!-Big Taylor was spared the blame for that one.

Buddies

It's funny that no matter how young a kid is, they know that their big sister is the funniest person around. Kadence takes full advantage of this and loves to make sure we are looking when she makes Charlie laugh.
