Tonight as I was tucking Kadence in for the millionth time I heard the pitter patter of Charlie's feet on the wood floor. He had been in bed for 30 minutes so I was shocked that he was awake and could not believe Bryce dared get him out of his crib-that is until I realized Bryce was wondering the same thing about me. Hmmm, neither of us did it. So, we put Charlie back in his crib and asked "how did you get out?, he quickly showed us his unfortunate new trick. Any advise on what to do about bedtime now?

toddler bed and spend weeks fighting with him to stay in. Thats what we did. Its loads of fun.
I am evil and put a latch on the door, on the outside... oh and the toddler bed thing.
Juneau sleeps on the floor on the other side of the door. It makes me wonder why I even bother with the bed. He actually may have stayed in better when I just took the crib out and put the mattress on the floor.
I latch the door so I know that he is not wandering around when I am sleeping, or leaving the house all together. (This is also when I got cheap door alarms.)
Oh no! (but can I just say that I loved the comentary by Kadence and the look on Bryce's face at the end?!)
I have no advice. Is it a boy thing? If so I'll need some in another year.
We didn't even bother with the "bed" for the toddler bed for Amya. I just put her crib matress on the floor (so if she rolled out in her sleep, she wouldn't fall far). I took all the toys out of her room and then put a baby gate on her door. When she woke up, all she had to chose from was books.
I have no idea if that would work for Charlie....if he can climb out of a crib, he can probably scale a baby gate, right?
Man, that kid is so cute! You need to post more videos!!!.....c.
What did you guys end up doing?.....c.
