In actuality, I met the Nelsons in Sarasota to pick Kadence up after her weekend of fun. We met at a Goodwill Book Store and Grandpa and I took turns holding a very rambuctious Charlie. I have never been one to support the backpack/child leash that I see many parents with but today I went looking for one. (no luck yet!)
Kadence had lots of fun swimming with Grandma and Gramps(as she likes to call him!) and will be headed back there soon!

I didn't notice Burt, he wasn't wearing a yellow short sleeve shirt!
p.s. you CAN NOT put your child on a leash!!!!!!!
They sell leash backpacks at walmart for $10... sorry, I know I'm bad, but I have the monkey. Without this, Willow disappears when you are not looking, such as under tables at craft shows.
I love the picture!
I must admit that when Danielle was at the hospital litterly giving birth to Juneau,I was thank full for that monkey backpack with the leash(we were at Bears touch football game in an open field). BUT, I have always hated to see a child on a leash, I'm with you Kara.Sorry Danielle :) I love you all and they are your kds and we must do whatever it takes to keep them safe.
I didn't know my funny comment was so controversial! Whats the difference between using the backpack or forcing your child to be strapped into a stroller for hours?
The back pack is a lot cuter and worked really well. Back in my day people actually had a dog leash type thing. But than I also grew up in a neighborhood where people would whistle for thier kids, and my dad thought that was the worst thing ever LOL
