Nelson Household Update

Bryce and I have made a decision-we are going to learn Spanish via Rosetta Stone and then plan a trip to Mexico/Latin America somewhere in a year or two when we can actually talk the talk. We have discussed a possible trip to SanDiego with a trip to Mexico leaving from there so we can scope out the area. Then I can eat lots of authentic foods and compare them to the dishes I have been making out of my Mexican cookbook!

On the Kadence front-Her adorable hair wrap disappeared the other day. We were at the show "Walking with Dinosaurs"(She loved it and it was pretty darn cool) and I looked over and said where is your hair wrap, and she started bawling when she realized it was gone! I assumed it slipped off of her super straight hair but when we got to the car it was just laying there with a tuft of red hair coming out of the top. After a quick inspection of her hair I realized she has a bald patch because it broke all of her hair right off. She has a new part in her hair today and a carefully placed barrette holding it there!

Saturday night after yet another fussy Charlie day, I put him in bed and he cried himself to sleep. He doesn't usually do that so I was feeling a little guilty, but it was only for like 10-15minutes. I went to check on him when I went to bed and hour and a half later only to find him sleeping in a big puke pile, which was probably why he had been crying. Talk about feeling like a crappy parent! After, talking with a few other mommies I am pleased to say this has happened to them to so I don't feel quite so bad now!

Roseta Stone works. You have to put the time in, but it works. I'm super excited for you guys to do that trip. You will have so much fun.
As for Charlie, no worries. We all do those things. With the joys of raising children, comes pure guilt for the millions of things we do wrong. gotta love it.

Taylor groaned when she read about Kadences bald spot. Poor girl! By the way, I'm in for the Mexico trip. We should make another big trip out of it (but I'm not learning Spanish!).
