A Surprise Visit

We were having a little going away party for Ryan Hook the other day when we got a call from cousin Todd who happened to be a few minutes away so he popped by and enjoyed the festivities with us. That is his friend Amy that he was visiting. On a "related" note, Todd's supposed father is running for office in Michigan, however all articles seem to lacking photographic evidence of his actual existence, see for yourself..... http://www.thevoterguide.org/a-mi-gannett/race-detail.do;jsessionid=C49624686584BAB6F268A0BD600BD783?id=157360735&party=R

Never Pee behind the bushes in Florida

When road tripping in Florida, beware at rest areas . This was posted at the rest stop we stopped at on the way to Orlando.

Jurassic Park

Here is a pic of us walking through the Jurassic park area of Islands of Adventure. It was pretty exhausting-me seven months prego, Crystal pushing a stroller with 2 kids and Bryce hobbling around on his leg. Add in 93 degree weather and we are talking absolute exhaustion by days end! At Sea World without Bryce taking turns with a stroller or toting our kid around I was exhausted beyond belief!

Refusal to have fun

Even though most other children would dream of spending a fun day with their family at Islands of Adventure, Kadence got angry and refused to have fun for a short time. She wanted to sit in Evan's spot in his stroller and would not accept no as an answer so she sat and pouted and watched us have fun until he went off to a ride and she could steal his seat. We stood in the splash zone at the bottom of a water ride waiting to get splashed and although you could tell she was dying to join us she would not participate.

Cousins

Crystal, Evan and Christian were here this week and we spent the weekend in Orlando at some theme parks. Here is a pic of the kids eating some candy at Sea World. Moments later, Evan threw that huge hunk of cotton candy into the sea turtle enclosure and a staff member freaked out and had to call in a special team to go in and get it out. Crystal was on her phone on a bench nowhere near us therefore everyone gave ME the "you are a negligent mom" look. It was pretty embarassing but in hindsight-hilarious.

Just a thought...

For his birthday we bought Walker a set of jack-knives and when we took him to the crossings to pick out a small item he picked out a shovel, hmmmmm... we weren't quite thinking this year.

Bryce's month long vacation is over!

We finally have a good update on Bryce! His Doc says he does not need his 2 daily blood thinning shots(Yay for me!) and he started back to work part time on light duty yesterday. He might be back full time in a week or so if his labwork looks good. The only thing is that Bryce insists the Doctor said housework is still out of the question. I think this guy is a quack! We celebrated the big news Friday night with sushi (cooked for me and Kadence) and then yesterday looked up the diet restrictions the Doctor gave him. As it ends up the worse thing on the list for him was Nori seaweed which is what they wrap the sushi in. Now whenever Bryce does something dumb we can blame it on the sushi!
